Alice L. Stires Weaver (March 7, 1922 – December 31, 2015)

ZANESVILLE
Alice L. (Stiers) Weaver, 93 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015 at Genesis Hospital. She was born March 7, 1922 in Waterford, OH a daughter of the late Dr. Harley and Eva (Cooper) Stiers. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Mt. Olive Church.
She is survived by a son Stephen (Dora) Weaver; a daughter Nancy (Henry) Cornett; four grandchildren Joshua (Heather) Weaver, Jason Weaver (Fiance Sarah Baldwin), Matthew (Tiffany) Cornett and Tanya (Rhett) Butcher; three great grandchildren Alexis and Justice Weaver and Molly Cornett; several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother Amos “Leo” Stiers; one sister Greta Chambers and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dayle Weaver whom she married on October 27, 1950 and died March 2, 1997 and nine brothers and sisters.
She will be missed by all who knew her. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701.
Calling hours will be held 4-6 Monday January 4, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday January 5, 2016 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Chuck Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
