Alice Sines

Alice Marie Sines, 75, of Zanesville, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born August 11, 1949, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frederick A. and Jessie B. (Stoneburner) Curry, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Ruthann Marks and her brother, Fred Curry Jr.
She was a 1967 graduate of Roseville high School where she always reminded her children that she once won the “Betty Crocker-Homemaker of the year award”. She earned her nursing license in 1977, thus beginning her life-long passion for helping others, touching many lives over the years. In 1988 she was the very first home hospice nurse in Zanesville at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She finished her nursing career being a home health RN where she lived by the creed that “nobody should die alone”. Alice enjoyed spending her time with her friends at the Zanesville American Legion post, playing Monopoly Go on her phone, watching Big Brother and finding ways to volunteer and serve others.
She is survived by her children, James “Tony” (Shannon) Sines, Jonathan “Stretch” (Laura) Sines, and two adopted children Thai Sines, and Tasia Sines. Four granddaughters, Chloe Sines, Gabby (Dylan) Untied, Cassidy Robison, Addie Robison. Two great grandchildren, Ambrielle and Mazalynn. Two sisters Carolyn (John) Hill, Janet Bussey.
She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the foster children that she raised over the years. A celebration of life will take place later at the American legion post in Zanesville, OH. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
