All Lanes of I-70 near Buckeye Lake will Close due to Flooding

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio–The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that all lanes of Interstate-70 will be closed Thursday evening due to flooding.

ODOT officials said that one lane of I-70 East is closed but that they plan to close both lanes within the next hour.

According to ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning , they plan to close the westbound lanes later this evening.

Motorists should use the following detours:

Eastbound: Drivers should exit at State Route 158, head north to U.S. Route 40 and travel up to State Route 13 in Jacksontown, then head south back onto I-70 eastbound.

Westbound:  Drivers will take the detour in Gratiot near the Muskingum/Licking County line (exit 142). Drivers should then head north to US Route 40 and travel west to SR 310 to get back  to I-70 westbound.
