Alleged Shooting Investigated in Junction City

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting incident in Junction City on Sunday. Sheriff William Barker says a just before 7:00 p.m. deputies were called to 635 Flagdale Road after a report that a 33-year-old man had been shot. Barker says when deputies arrived the victim had wounds to his arms and chest. The male, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to the Fairfield Medical Center and then later transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. The Sheriff says the victim later walked out the hospital against medical advice and is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement officials. Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate this incident to determine how the victim sustained his injuries and where the incident occurred.
