Allen “Allie” Clarke

Allen “Allie” Clarke, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in Chagrin Falls, Ohio on July 14, 1943, to the late Lewis Warren Clarke and Pauline (Williams) Clarke. Allie’s life revolved around his family and his love for the sport of bowling. A professional bowler since the age of 18, he dedicated decades to the sport he cherished. From 1992 to 2014, he proudly owned and operated Maysville All Star Lanes in Zanesville, where he continued his commitment to the bowling community. In his spare time, Allie loved playing golf and the simple pleasure of hosting cookouts at his home where he got to spend time with his family and loved ones.
Allie will be deeply missed and is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Maribel (McCrimmon) Clarke; sons, Lewis (Cathi) Clarke, Michael (Jenny) Clarke; daughter, Samantha (Jason) Newton; grandchildren, Joshua Traeger, Seth (Dani) Traeger, Ryan Clarke, Zoe (Carver) Casey, John Butcher, Brynn Newton; great grandchildren, Everest Casey, Reagan Traeger, Rayleigh Traeger; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and bowling community.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 2 brothers: Warren Clarke and George Clarke.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Allie’s honor to the Zanesville USBC Youth Scholarship Fund.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. A private burial will be held.
