Ana Alicia Belen (May 27, 1923 – January 27, 2014)
Ana Alicia Belen, 90, of Zanesville, formerly of New York City, died at 10:08 P.M. Monday, January 27, 2014, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born May 27, 1923, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Cirilo and Angelina Agosto Cruz. She was a secretary for the Legal Aid Society in the Bronx, NY for 27 years, and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son, Fred (Betsey) Belen of Zanesville; one grandson, Kory (Jami) Young of Columbus; one great granddaughter, Abby Young of Thornville; and three brothers, Luis, Rafael, and Ernesto Cruz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Belen, who died in 1948; one son Victor Manuel Belen; two brothers, Mario and Ramon Cruz; and two sisters, Gloria and Carmen.
Friends and family may call from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 N 5TH Street, Zanesville, with a Dominican Father as Celebrant. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
