Andrew McGee

Mcgee Andrew Pic

Andrew James McGee, 31, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning January 14, 2026, as a result of a car accident.
Born August 3, 1994, he was a son of James E. and Theresa M. (Elson) McGee and 2013 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Andrew was a Christian by faith and worked at Genesis Healthcare Systems. His favorite hobbies were thrifting and going to yard sales searching for treasures to resell on eBay, as well as collecting sports cards for himself or to sell.
Andrew lived his life by helping others first. He was extremely kind; assisting others was second nature to him. He was a stranger to no one, striking up a conversation with others everywhere he went. He could meet a new person and know their life story in twenty minutes. Andrew enjoyed playing video games with his friends, as well as sitting on the couch with his wife while they both played their own video game. He loved watching sports, especially the Columbus Crew and participating in Fantasy Football.
Andrew’s greatest love was his family. He adored his wife, admired his parents and loved to spend time with his brothers. He loved his nieces and nephews and delighted in the time he got to spend with them. He played soccer in school and loved getting to kick the ball around with the kids. Andrew will be missed but his love will endure with those that knew him.
Surviving is his loving wife, Maddy S. Ashton McGee of Utica; parents, James and Theresa McGee of Frazeysburg; brothers, Lance (Kala) McGee of Frazeysburg and Brent (Kelly) McGee of Versailles, KY; sister Megan McGee of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Eli, Sadie, Sophie, Silas and Ava and his feline babies, Benny and Pip.
Andrew is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert A. McGee, Sr. and Violet E. (Pierce) McGee.
Family and friends may visit from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Homes, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the funeral home with Minister Tyler Watson officiating.
Andrew will be laid to rest beside his Grandparents in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
The family invites those in attendance to join them for a time of food and fellowship immediately following the committal at the cemetery at Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio 43822.
