Animal Shelter Society Inc. has seven new kittens for adoption

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society Incorporated has a whole crew of kittens ready to find their new homes. All seven cats are neutered or spayed and fully vetted for adoption.
Female kittens, such as Sam, Riley, Casey, and Bailey, are joined by their brothers, Alex and Charlie. Another young feline looking for a home is Addy who’s been on an interesting road trip.
“She has a very interesting story. A really nice family here in Muskingum County said, ‘you’re not going to believe this cat’s journey,'” said Executive Director April Gibson. “Was in an engine block and probably did over 50 miles in the engine block and then we were able to go in and get it from the home and help out them and Miss Addy is now a part of our Animal Shelter Society family.”
Gibson and the Animal Shelter Society wants the community to know that with the inclement weather coming this weekend, the shelter will be changing customer service hours.
“We are going to be closed for customer service this Saturday through Monday. Of course, we’re closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. We’re going to open back up on Wednesday and that’s just not because of the impeding possible snow advisory that we have out there. It’s the temperature. I just don’t see a need, or the board of directors, if we have minus degree temperatures or under 10 degrees, to adopt out an animal. We don’t see that need right now.”
