Animal Shelter Society shares pet(s) of the week

ZANESVILLE – There’s two featured pets this week. They are two bonded 5 month old cats named Tom and Jerry. The cats would make a great addition to an adopting family and the Animal Shelter Society would prefer if they are both taken home.

“Now that they’re bonded and everything they just feel comfort in each other so regardless of whatever home their forever home is they’ll feel a lot more bonded and probably adapt a lot quicker to their new home place; their forever home,” Animal Shelter Society Board Member Bo Moyer said.

Moyer also shared details about the upcoming Barktoberfest event on October 15th.

“That event is being held at the Vista View Golf Course Greenhouse in Nashport and there will be live music as well as a live auction as well as a food truck for concessions. Road Dog Concessions is the food truck that we’re having. Zanesville High School has been generous enough to donate the waffles that they make for the band boosters and live music… (it) should be a fun event,” Moyer said.

Barktoberfest is on the 15th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and tickets can be purchased on the Animal Shelter Society’s website.
