Annual Andy Jam Raises Funds for Future Law Enforcement Officers

ZANESVILLE, OH- Live music and community spirit came together once again in Zanesville for a powerful cause.
The sixth annual Andy Jam was held Saturday at The Barn, honoring the life and legacy of Andy Quinn, an aspiring police officer who passed away unexpectedly in 2019 at just 31 years old. Many showed up in support of a mission that continues to grow each year.
“The best part is that it’s a time to remember my son who passed away, he was 31 when he left prematurely, I miss him everyday, but the music is great and there is something very healing and unifying about music, and that’s a beautiful part about the Andy Jam,” said Andy’s father and event organizer, Paul Quinn.
Four local bands took the stage throughout the day. Proceeds raised go to the Andy Quinn Memorial Fund through NAMI Six County, which helps cadets at the Zane State Police Academy.
“We have all kinds of great prizes, there’s actually a first responders necklace that’s valued about $150 that will be given away, we have a lot of auto care products, we have gift certificates with lots of restaurants, we have a great variety of prizes available for people, plus we’re doing a split the pot, and it’s all for charity, the funds go through the National Alliance of Mental Illness and they pull the funds for the Andy Quinn Memorial Fund,” said Quinn.
If you weren’t able to make it this year, Andy Jam will return to The Barn next May for its seventh year.
