Annual Hull Pottery Association Show and Sale

CROOKSVILLE, Ohio – It’s pottery lovers week across Southeast Ohio.
The Hull Pottery Association show and sale will take place Friday July 13th and Saturday, July 14th in the Crooksville High School gymnasium. Vice President, Keith Knowles, said Hull Pottery can be a rare find these days, but not in this area.
“Hull Pottery was made in the city of Crooksville. It’s an art pottery and a dinner line that was started in the early 1900s and it continued to about 1970,” said Knowles. “So it’s a pottery that’s noted in this area.”
This year is the 25th anniversary for the association, so Knowles said you’ll see a wide variety of pottery pieces with price tags starting at two dollars up to four thousand dollars.
“You’ll see anything from dinnerware to four and five thousand pieces of art pottery,” Knowles explained. “We are the largest Hull Pottery show in the United States. This is the grand daddy.”
In the past 17 years, Hull Pottery Association has given away over 34 thousand dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors at Crooksville High School; and this year, they will be granting two more one thousand dollar scholarships. The show is open to the public with no charge.
