Annual Tent Sale a Success for Workmens

People nearly had to fight for parking spots at Workmens on Maysville pike Saturday.

The fall outfitter hosted its annual tent sale Saturday afternoon, and people came flocking to the scene. For the past ten years Workmens has brought out its old merchandise for a massive tent sale. The owner, Eric Moore said its about giving people one last option to purchase discontinued items.

"We’re kind of a fall oriented type of retail store and this is just a great way to kick off the fall season for us, and we’ve got some really great deals underneath the tent, discontinued merchandise and we’ve got our fall harvest sale going on inside the store, and just a great way to kick off the season."

Moore said the merchandise that isn’t sold after a couple tent sales is given to the Salvation Army. The store was open from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and around 1,000 people stopped by the store.
