Antonina T. Dabbay

Antonina T. Dabbay, 98 of Zanesville, returned home 6:52 PM, Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born Friday, May 25, 1923 in Baoang, Malasiki, Pangasinan, Philippines, the daughter of Cirilo D Tolentino and Emiliana Tantay. She was married to Gerardo Dabbay for 69 years who preceded her in life December 21, 2012.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, and grandmother who loved to cook and take care of her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Dabbay is a survivor of WWII Imperial Japan’s Occupation where she supported US Forces.
She is survived by five children, Eduardo T. (Susan Roa) Dabbay of Zanesville; Teresita (Dr. Sofronio) de la Vega of Pittsburgh, PA; Linda (Robert) Caro of Silver Spring MD; Lourdes D. (Dr. Othello) Repuyan of Zanesville with whom she has resided with for over 29 years; and Lucila Dabbay, of the Philippines; Mama/ Lala Nena is a proud grandmother of 16, grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by five brothers and sisters.
A Novena Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church,1020 East Main Street, Zanesville, OH with Fr. Gelido as celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Antonina’s memory.
