Prescott sat on the field as the Jaguars celebrated one of their more improbable wins in franchise history. The Cowboys (10-4) ended a five-game winning streak. The stunner prevented Dallas from securing a playoff spot. Jacksonville (6-8), meanwhile, could gain ground on Tennessee in the topsy-turvy AFC South.

But he missed out on winning a second straight title. The France superstar was on the losing side of an epic final against Argentina that was settled in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw. He was then consoled on the field by French President Emmanuel Macron. Mbappé had been the leader France desperately needed as time was running out with the defending champions trailing 2-0. His two goals in less than two minutes carried France back into the match.

Ex-NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire charged for punching daughter

MIAMI (AP) — Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire is facing a misdemeanor battery charge after police say he punched his teenage daughter in the face. Court records show the former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks star was arrested early Sunday, and later released on $1,500 bond. The Miami Herald says he was arrested at his Miami home. A police report obtained by the paper says he punched the girl after he accused her of being disrespectful to his mother during a phone call. Stoudemire has a both a 14-year-old and 17-year-old daughter. The report did not say which he allegedly hit. No lawyer for Stoudemire is listed in court records.

Judge’s 62nd home run ball sells for $1.5 million at auction

RUNNEMEDE, N.J. (AP) — The ball New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit for his American League-record 62nd home run has sold for $1.5 million at auction. The price is the second highest paid for a baseball auction, according to Goldin Executive Chairman and Founder Ken Goldin. He identified the buyer as a prominent Midwestern businessman and collector. Bidding on the ball opened on Nov. 29 and ended Saturday. The minimum opening bid was set at $1 million. The home run ball was consigned to Goldin in November by Cory Youmans.
