(AP) — Rayshawn Jenkins intercepted Dak Prescott’s tipped pass and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown that gave the Jacksonville Jaguars a 40-34 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in overtime. Tre Herndon got a hand on Prescott’s low throw to Noah Brown. Jenkins made a shoelace grab and went untouched the other way to end Jacksonville’s 20-game skid against NFC teams. Prescott sat on the field in disbelief as the Jaguars celebrated one of their more improbable wins in franchise history. The Cowboys (10-4) ended a five-game winning streak. The stunner prevented Dallas from securing a playoff spot. Jacksonville (6-8), meanwhile, could gain ground on Tennessee in the topsy-turvy AFC South.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Vijay Singh and his son can finally call themselves winners at the PNC Championship in their 16th appearance. Tiger Woods and 13-year-old son Charlie had to settle for having another great time. Qass Singh was 13 when he first played this event with his father. Now he’s 32. Qass hit a hybrid to 4 feet for eagle that paved the way for them to shoot 59 in a scramble format. They won by two over John Daly and his son and Justin Thomas and his father. Team Woods never got going and tied for eighth.

But he missed out on winning a second straight title. The France superstar was on the losing side of an epic final against Argentina that was settled in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw. He was then consoled on the field by French President Emmanuel Macron. Mbappé had been the leader France desperately needed as time was running out with the defending champions trailing 2-0. His two goals in less than two minutes carried France back into the match.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentines let loose and streets across the country became places of celebration after an epic World Cup final in which the national team beat France on penalties. It was the country’s third World Cup title and the first since 1986. Millions of Argentine cried, yelled and hugged as they followed the game that was a roller coaster of emotions. The national squad led by captain Lionel Messi has managed to unite Argentines with a sense of joy that isn’t frequent in a country that has been stuck in economic doldrums for years, is suffering one of the world’s highest inflation rates and almost four in 10 live in poverty.
Ex-NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire charged with punching daughter
MIAMI (AP) — Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire is facing a misdemeanor battery charge after police say he punched his teenage daughter in the face. Court records show the former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks star was arrested early Sunday, and later released on $1,500 bond. The Miami Herald says he was arrested at his Miami home. A police report obtained by the paper says he punched the girl after he accused her of being disrespectful to his mother during a phone call. Stoudemire has a both a 14-year-old and 17-year-old daughter. The report did not say which he allegedly hit. No lawyer for Stoudemire is listed in court records.
