Arrest made in Perry County after recovery of stolen property

PERRY COUNTY, Ohio – Perry County Sheriff, William Barker, announced the recovery of $30,000 worth of stolen property.

Perry County Sheriff Detectives obtained a search warrant on March 13th for a home on Pen Road in Junction City.

Upon executing the search warrant, a shot was fired at deputies by an individual who was hiding in a stolen camper on the property. After a 30 minute long standoff, the individual was identified as Christopher Lutz. He was taken into custody for having weapons under disability.

The property was searched, where several stolen items were recovered.

A second search warrant was obtained two days later, where additional stolen items were located.

Christopher Lutz remains in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail on weapons charges. Charges related to the shot fired at Sheriff’s Deputies is still under investigation.
