Arthur “Art” T. Smallwood Jr., 84, of Ridge Avenue, Zanesville, passed away December 2, 2011 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville.

Art was born November 21, 1927 in Zanesville the son of the late Arthur T & Bethel (Thomas) Smallwood. Art retired from Cooper Industries after 43 years service; he was a member of the Eagle #302; he previously boxed and played softball and he served his country in the US Army.

Art is survived by his brothers C. Daniel (Sharill) Smallwood of Zanesville and Richard T. (Loretta) Smallwood of Zanesville; his sisters Betti (Cliff) Jones of FL and Shirley Polson of FL and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by two brothers James W. Smallwood and David Smallwood.

In keeping with Arts wishes, there will be no services and a caring cremation will take place.
