Artist of the Month: John Entrekin and Joel Yeager

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Artist Colony of Zanesville is recognizing two artists this month.
Joel Yeager and John Entrekin both have their art on display at 39 South 7th Street. John is new to Zanesville and his gallery is located on the second floor.
“I have three different kinds of work that I enjoy. One of them is this sort of a semi abstract landscapes and most of all of my work is in oils, a little bit in pastel. Then I do a lot of figure work, where it’s a figure in a abstracted landscape and then a do a certain number of commission portraits,” Entrekin said.
The Art Walk is Friday, November 2nd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and it will give members of the community the opportunity to walk through the art district of Zanesville. Both of their galleries are open Wednesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Yeager’s artwork is located on the first floor.
“We make it appoint to be always working when we’re open, as a way to sort of feed off of each others creativity and also if you’re working when somebody visits it increases the experience for people,” Yeager said.
