Artist of the Month at Z.A.A.P.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project’s Artist of the month uses pastels to show landscaping, flowers, and animals.

For the month of April RoseMary Ludt will have 21 finished pastel pieces featured at Z.A.A.P. along with one piece that is still a work in progress.

“It’s exciting, I’ve never seen all of my pastels together on a wall,” Ludt said. “So that’s fun to see. I’m anxious for people to see the pastels, because not too many local artists work in pastels. So it’ll be something maybe new for a lot of people.”

Ludt has been a Z.A.A.P. member for a few years all thanks to her friends for inviting her in. Since then she’s been a featured artist once and has met other creative artists.

“You meet a lot of interesting people, artists of all different kinds,” Ludt expressed. “I’ve grown myself as an artist and watched others grow too. It’s a lot of fun.”

The community can see Ludt’s pastels at Z.A.A.P. during the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Ludt also works with acrylics, oil, and watercolors. Those pieces can be seen at her ‘Morning Light Gallery’ in room 224 of the Masonic Temple.
