Ashley Moyer Interior Design officially open

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It was an exciting day for a local business owner.
Ashley Moyer officially opened her interior design studio, but before the ribbon was cut, there was one last thing to be done. The new studio is located in an old firehouse and Moyer wanted to show respect to those who served there. Interim Fire Chief Doug Hobson along with other members of the Zanesville Fire Department raised a flag and rang the bell in front of the building three times, which was used to signify the end of a fire call, and in this case the end of the building serving as a fire station.
“I know this building means a lot to me but it also means a lot to other people in the community and I wanted to make sure that was respected as well, that they felt like this was still their building,” said Moyer.
Moyer said she has spent two years renovating the building on Forest Ave and she is excited to finally open the studio to the public.
“There were days and months that I didn’t think this would happen,” said Moyer. “I thought it was going to be a quick renovation, but two years later we are finished.”
Moyer said she also hopes the space can serve as a place for community activities and be enjoyed by the public. For more information, you can visit the Ashely Moyer website.
