Ashlin Drew O’Neal (November 11, 1981 – August 19, 2015)

Ashlin Drew O’Neal, 33, gained his wings on August 19, 2015 at Grant Medical Center. He was the son of the Karla O’Neal and Thomas “Pumpsy” Beacham and Robert “Bobby” Burns, born in Akron, Ohio on Nov. 11, 1981. Ashlin spent every waking moment doing what he loved which mostly consisted of MUSIC, he made CDs full of music, danced the night away to music and was also a D.J. he loved his job at Verizon Wireless where he was VERY customer oriented. Ashlin LOVED to smile and no matter what, he made sure whomever he came in contact with – whether he knew them or not – he made you laugh!!! He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents; daughter, Asiyonna O’Neal; sisters, Antionette Daniels, Alyssa Burns and Ariel Burns; his life long partner, Sarah Mayle; grandparents, Floetta (James) Gillard; special cousin/sister, Jasmine O’Neal Barnes; his dog, Blue and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Floyd O’Neal, Juanita Mitchell Burns; Robert Burns Sr. and great-grandparents, Ethel Harris and Myers Harris. Calling hours will be Monday, August 24, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, 414 LaSalle St. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. Paul A.M.E.
