Ashraf Pleads Guilty
A 35-year-old faced Judge Kelly Cottrill on several drug related charges.
Waqar Ashraf plead guilty to 20 counts of illegal use of food stamp benefits, five counts in trafficking in drugs, four that included school specifications and another count of trafficking in drugs with a school specification.
Twenty-four other counts against him will be dropped at sentencing.
Judge Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case. It was also determined that Ashraf is not a citizen of the United States. He was remanded into custody of the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office pending surrender of his passport.
