Monday the Muskingum County Commissioners met with Paul Construction Company Project Manager Phil Lash. During this meeting they discussed contingencies. These contingencies are in place to ensure the county doesn’t pay above the contracted amount.
“We’ve done really well as far as keeping the contingencies where they are,” Lash said. “We are probably about 10 percent into each of the contingencies, which is great nearing finally completion.”
Lash said pretty soon everything will start to really coming together. Next month they will began installing flooring.
“From an exterior stand point, as far as the brick there’s really not a whole lot of changes you will see. Must of everything will be on the interior. Right now, we are finishing dry wall. We have first coats of paint on everywhere. We are beginning our ceiling grid instillation this weekend,” Lash said.
Lash said it’s been great working with the commissioners. Lash expects to have life safety and health inspection prior to August 31st. Lash said the completion date for the contract is August 31st and that’s when the Center for Seniors Building will be up and operational.
