The health department holds two cafes a month. One in the evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month and daytime 10 a.m. to Noon on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

“The cafe is really a place for mom’s to come to speak with other moms, talk to other moms about maybe breast feeding questions, or parenting issues,” Breast Feeding Coordinator Lisa Davidson said.

And this Saturday, August 6th from 10 a.m. until Noon at Dillon Dam Pavilion and Playground. The health department will be hosting its 4th annual breast feeding Party-In-The-Park event to increase awareness and celebrate breast-feeding month. The Southeast Ohio Breast Feeding Coalition will be canvassing the community speaking to area businesses about placing “Breasting Feeding Welcome Here decals on their doors.”
