Austin M. Evans

Austin Matthew Evans, 26, of Roseville, passed away on September 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with Gastroparesis and diabetes.
Born in Zanesville on December 19, 1998, to his mother, Jessica (Bryan) Rush and his father, Matthew Evans. Austin was a 2017 graduate of Philo High School and was employed with Waste Management. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and enjoyed baseball—both as a player and as a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved spending time playing cars and looking for the deer with his precious boy, Wahlen.
Austin is survived by his loving wife, Rylee (Havens) Evans, whom he married on December 5, 2020; his cherished son, Wahlen Evans; his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Theresa Quinn; his paternal grandfather, Ronald (Peggy) Evans; his sister, Elizabeth Evans; his step-siblings; his mother-in-law, Traci Kelso; his father-in-law, Mike Havens; his special nephew and niece, Jayden and Maleah; his several pets; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Melvin Starcher; as well as his maternal great-grandparents, Pat and Marilyn Quinn.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Austin’s memory to support Wahlen’s future college education.
Visitations will be 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Visitations will also be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow visitations at 11 AM. Pastor Jamie Harrop will officiate the service. Austin will be laid to rest in Stovertown Cemetery.
