ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business has donated to Making Strides against breast cancer.

October is national breast cancer awareness month and the Auto Zone Distribution Center has collected more than $23,000 to fund the fight against breast cancer.

“Auto Zone has been a real great supporter of our services and it’s awesome each year to see what auto zone has done and accomplish to help us in our mission,” American Cancer Society, Senior Market Manager/Community Engagement John Largent said.

Largent said although October is breast cancer awareness month, they accept donations all year round.

“We appreciate and can certainly utilize all the funds that come in through the year. We appreciate all the support. Our event is October 15th, it’s this Saturday. Registration starts at 9 o’clock. The walk starts at 10 a.m. We’re looking to make the campus of Ohio University/Zanesville Zane State College pink,” Largent said.

Largent would like to thank Auto Zone Distribution Center for their continued generosity.
