Avoiding the Last Minute Christmas Shopping

It’s officially Christmas week with only 5 days away and people are still finishing up their shopping list.

Colony Square mall was filled with last minute shoppers Sunday. We spoke to a couple customers and they said it wasn’t their plan to shop at the last minute.

“Yea we always say we’re going to shop early but, then when it comes right down to it we always wait until the last minute,” said Tammy Gard.

“Actually, I thought I was ahead of the game. Until I went over all that I had and I am behind. I’m trying to get caught up today,” said Lori Eaglason.

Each person said they aren’t seeing the rush they expected.

“Really surprised, it hasn’t been a lot of long lines at least the ones that I’ve been in not at all,” said Gard.

“No we are pretty good luck, getting what we needed. We haven’t had to wait in line very long,” said Eaglason.

Colony Square mall will be open 8 a.m until 6 p.m on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas day.
