B. Jodelle (Wray) Gallagher, 71, a beloved resident of Byesville, passed away peacefully on Friday (December 6, 2024) at Astoria Place.

Born on December 15, 1952, in West Virginia, Jodelle was the daughter of the late William Wray and Campsie (Heskett) Wray.

After dedicating four remarkable decades to her service, Jodelle retired from the Guernsey County Auditor’s Office.
In her free time, Jodelle cherished shopping, particularly with her daughter and granddaughter. She also found solace in her bookkeeping, late-night phone conversations with friends, and the satisfaction of keeping her house spotless. Her Maltese dog, Krissi, held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tony Neff, and mother-in-law, Marge Gallagher.
Jodelle is survived by her husband, Rich Gallagher, whom she married in March 1989; her daughter, Heather (and Todd) Neff-Carpenter of Salesville; her son Scott McElroy of Cambridge; her twin sister, Sharon Isner of Hannibal; two grandchildren, Taylor (and Bubba) Glass of Byesville and Trevor Dybendal of Byesville; a great-granddaughter, Raelynn Glass; and numerous cherished friends, including her lifelong companion, Margery Moore Sigman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (December 11, 2024) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.

A private family burial service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville.
