Ballard Sentenced on Drug Charges
A Zanesville man who was supposed to go on trial last month on drug charges and changed his mind and plead guilty is sentenced Monday. The Prosecutor’s Office says 34-year-old Chad Ballard was facing 12 counts of possession of drugs and one count of having a weapon while under disability. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison by Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle. The court also ordered a 10-thousand dollar fine and the forfeiture to the State of all motor vehicles and items seized. One count of trafficking in drugs was dropped at sentencing.
