Bankruptcy Trustee Won’t Allow Sunrise To Reopen
A plan by one of the owners of Sunrise Bowl to open the doors of the bankrupt business on Friday – has been delayed. Thursday morning Marty Prindle told WHIZ News that she planned to let local bowlers inside Sunrise to pick up their personal belongings. She says there are almost 300 lockers in the bowling facility. But late Thursday Prindle Attorney Mitch Marczewski says the bankruptcy Trustee, Clyde Hardesty, will not allow that to happen just yet. Marczewski says some things must happen before the facility can be opened to the public. Wednesday the bowling alley closed after the Prindle’s filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The Prindle’s have been dealing with foreclosure proceedings against their business and home prior to filing bankruptcy. 15 employees lost their jobs. Sunrise Bowl has been in operation since 1965.
