Barbara Archer

Barbara Joy (Cullins) Archer, 84, of Dresden, Ohio died Sunday night, September 6, 2026, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.

Born March 24, 1942, in Zanesville a daughter of the late Ernest “Jay” and Beatrice (Lacy) Cullins of Dresden and a 1960 graduate of Jefferson High School. Barbara worked at Shaw Barton Company and The Longaberger Company.

Barbara enjoyed traveling and watching Ohio State Football. She was an avid supporter of the Dresden Volunteer Fire Department, working at many fundraisers such as the bake steak dinner, bingo and other fundraising activities. Barbara was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Carl “Mick” Archer, whom she married on May 10, 1962; her daughter, Beth (Daniel) Lane of Gold Canyon, AZ; siblings, Wava (Jerry) Strohacker and Terry (Sandy) Cullins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Jones.

Family and friends may visit, 5:00-8:00PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, with one hour of viewing prior to the funeral, on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Barbara will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.
