Barnes Outdoor Advertising Celebrates 100th Birthday

In honor of its history of the past 100 years serving the community, one local business is saying thank you with a grand celebration.

Barnes Outdoor Advertising, will hold an ‘Open House’ on Tuesday, May 24th from 4-6 p.m. Maryjane Shackelford said the festive gathering will honor its dedicated client base and the various counties Barnes serves.

"We’re just excited, we’re very proud and we want to share this moment with the community. Everybody is urged to come out have fun, there’s going to be a band, live music, free food four turns bakery are bringing birthday cupcakes, it’s going to be great fun and we just want the community to come out and celebrate with us," said Maryjane Shackelford, Presdient/Co-Owner of Barnes Outdoor Advertising.

Barnes Outdoor Advertising has billboards in more than 15 different counties in Southeastern Ohio and serves more than 3,000 customers. Shackelford said they are very fortunate and grateful for all their support and this celebration is for their customers.

"It’s just going to be fun, we want to thank the community and have a big party as well, it’s a birthday party."

Shackelford said during the festivities held at the ‘Open House’ there will also be an opportunity for folks to tour the facility.
