Barr Sentenced in December Shooting

A Zanesville man has been sentenced in connection with a shooting incident that occurred this past December.

Muskingum County Assistant Prosecutor John Litle says 18-year-old Robert Barr was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Litle says Barr was charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of felonious assault and two counts of aggravated robbery. All of those charges come with fire arm specifications.

Barr had been arrested in connection to the shooting on Woodlawn Avenue that injured 19-year-old Lance Loughman and 23-year-old Julian Moore.

Barr has already served 200 days of his sentence.

A co-defendant in the case, Deylen Wilkey,  has pleaded not guilty to charges in the case and is awaiting trial.
