Bath & Body Works Relocating as Northpointe Continues to Grow

ZANESVILLE, OH – Bath & Body Works is packing up and moving to a new location in Zanesville.

The popular fragrance and body care store will be moving from the Colony Square Mall to Northpointe shopping center. The shift comes as more shoppers prefer outdoor strip centers over traditional indoor malls.

“Strip centers are the way a lot more of the consumer base is starting to actually shop. People are very much liking to go to outdoor strip centers instead of indoor malls. It’s just an evolution. It’s the next evolution of retail as a lot of things change. We’re just happy that we’re able to keep them in Zanesville because, as you know, a lot of stores have left the mall and not stayed in the area. We look at it as we’re keeping a very strong retailer for the next 10, 15, or 20 years at least,” Wyatt Woeltje the principal of Highland Capital said.

Northpointe has seen significant growth in recent years and the shopping center is continuing to grow, attract new businesses, and expand its retail offerings to meet the demand for shopping experiences.

“Northpointe just a couple years ago before we owned it was a whole different beast than what it is today. It was 30% occupied and now it’s 98% occupied. I think that plays a big part in the move because there’s a lot more people shopping there,” Woeltje said.

The new Bath & Body Works location is expected to open this March.
