Fundraiser for Breast Cancer At Weasel Boy

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local brewery is hosting a night of fun to help raise money for breast cancer research.
Tomorrow night, Weasel Boy Brewing Co. will hold its ninth annual fundraiser for breast cancer. The fundraiser is the brainchild of Lisa White who works at a company that provides yeast to brewers. Lori Wince, the owner and brewer at the Weasel Boy Brewing Co. says, the goal is to raise money for breast cancer through beer and it stretches further than just Zanesville.
“Now breweries all across the nation hold ‘Beer for Boobs’ fundraisers just to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.”
Each year the brewery features a special brew in honor of the event. This year the brew on tap is Rubus Mustelidae, a Raspberry Session IPA. Beer lovers can gather for a night of music and brew while supporting a good cause.
“It’s always a good, fun event. There’s always some fun merchandise with the logo on it that people can purchase. We also do a silent auction and this year we have Blue Jackets tickets to the New Year’s Eve game, which we’re pretty excited about.”
The free event will take place at Weasel Boy Brewery on Muskingum Ave tomorrow at 8 p.m.. Guests can also participate in a raffle and purchase special merchandise.
