Bernard Allen

Bernard R. Allen, 86 of Norwich, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, at his home.
He was born on June 10, 1937, in Corning, Ohio, son of the late Elvie Allen and Louella (Steven) Allen. Bernard worked at Malta Manufacturing as a window maker for over 37 years where he retired. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Indians fan. In his spare time, he loved to go mushroom hunting and fishing. His family will always remember him by his sense of humor.
He is survived by his 3 children: Mark Steven Allen, Tina (Rocky) McGrath, Patrick “Mike” (Theresa) Allen; sisters, Peggy Factor, Donna Sue Jadwin, Nancy Channel, Mary Lou Baker; grandchildren, Cody Allen, Stevie Allen, Doug Wood, Christina Crawford, Josh Wood, Cassidy Havens; great grandchildren, Brayden Wood, Malia Crawford, and Will Crawford.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Libby” (Carter) Allen; sister, Joann Thompson; brothers, Tom Allen, Jack Allen; nephews, Gary “Mudcat” Thompson and Tim Watts.
Per Bernard’s request, no calling hours or services will be held. A caring cremation will be held by DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
