Bert Rouviere

Bert M. Rouviere, 86, of Senecaville, passed away Sunday (January 14, 2024) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

He was born May 31, 1937 in Pittsburgh PA, son of the late Bert M. Rouviere and Isabelle (Arnal) Rouviere.

As a young man, he worked in the family business with his father. Bert later worked as a steelworker for J & L Steel Mill and a coal miner for North American Coal and McNally Tunneling. He was also a bricklayer.

Bert enjoyed watching MMA, WWE, boxing, and old westerns. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Honda Goldwing Group and loved riding with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Ann (Norton) Rouviere, who passed away October 27, 2019; a sister, Dolores “Day” Rouviere; and a grandson, Garrett Morrow.

Bert is survived by four daughters, Terri (& Rich) Gazda of Coraopolis PA, Cyndy Smith of Southern Maryland, Sherrie Sweeney of Baden PA, and Michelle (& Randy) Wilson of Hookstown PA; a son, Bruce Taggart of East Liverpool; eleven grandchildren, Jason Morris, Brandon Morrow, Danielle Hazel, Raghen Morrow Blazer, Cory Gazda, Rachel Wilson, Tyler Morris, Jody Gazda, Emma Wilson Polcha, Abbie Wilson, and Noah Wilson; seven great-grandchildren, Reece, Brycen, Chandler, Brooks, Reid, Siena, and Marshall; numerous step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and cousins; and his Sassy, his Jack Russell dog.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling arrangements.
