Betty L. Hubbard, 81 of Zanesville , OH died 9:16 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center Zanesville OH.

She was born Thursday, September 25, 1930 in Zanesville the daughter of Charles J. Sr and Doris C. (Dunn) Garich.

She was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church . and a former office manager for Dr. Lasky, Krohn and Porter for 15 years. She was a retired employee for Dr. Gordon Gifford M.D. following 16 years of service. She and her husband Gene enjoyed home decorating, traveling, gourmet cooking clubs and long rides around the country.

She is survived by her daughter: Beth Ann Shelly (Bill Clevidence) of Zanesville; one son: Douglas E. (Kimberly) Gabriel of Zanesville; one step-son: Adam E. (Elizabeth) Hubbard of Thomson, GA; five grandchildren: Allison (J.R.) Pruden, Chad (Tracy) Gabriel, Benjamin (Christa) Gabriel, Shey Hubbard and Tawnee Hubbard; a great-grandson: Grant Gabriel and a great grand-daughter Neko Bella Gabriel; six sisters: Evelyn Hagedorn of Centennial, CO; Charlene Watson of Columbus, OH, Carolyn (Joseph) King of Somerset, OH, Judith Patalon of Lodi, OH, Sandra Porter of Zanesville and Catherine (James) Dodson of Minooka, IL. She is also survived by special friends Fern Gabriel, Glenna Thomas, Marylou Wolfe, Bonnie Chapman, Jane Mills and Wanda Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ewart “Gene” Eugene Hubbard, her first husband, Russell Gabriel, 2 brothers: Gordon D. Garich and Charles Joseph Garich Jr.; and a granddaughter Anna Mae Hubbard.

Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday April 22nd at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. where funeral services will be 11:30 AM on Monday, April 23, 2012 with Pastor Tom England officiating. Burial will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville OH .
