Beverly Bowden

Beverly Joyce Bowden, 79, of Adamsville, Ohio died Friday evening, January 2, 2026 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Born December 19, 1946 in Zanesville, she was the only daughter of the late George L. and Bernice E. (Wilson) Orr and a 1964 graduate of Adamsville High School. She was a member of Salem Community Church and a former member of Ohio Eastern Star – Adamsville, Frank Ramsbotham Chapter. She played organ for various churches in the area for over 60 years and sold livestock supplies for many years. She worked at Citizen National Bank for 10 years and was Deputy Clerk for Muskingum County Courts, where she retired after 22 years of service.
Surviving is her loving husband, John “Bob” Bowden whom she married September 6, 1964; two daughters, Trina and Treva; four grandchildren, Minette, Olivia, Jacque (Jordan), and J.R. (Kaylynn); seven great grandchildren, Pierce, Haylie, Titian, Aryianna, Audrielle, Oaklynn, and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her close working friends, Pam and Jenine.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father, George Leonard Orr and her mother, Bernice Ellen (Wilson) Orr.
Friends and family may visit 11 AM to 2 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will immediately follow the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Hogue officiating.
