Beverly Weidig, 86, of Zanesville, died at 4:52 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 29, 1940, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Donald and Illene (Corbin) Stemm. She worked at Big Bear for 30 years, Northside Pharmacy for many years and later as a seamstress for Wade’s Clothing. Beverly was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058. She enjoyed sewing and baking, was very artistic and in her younger years, she taught social dancing with her uncle Robert Corbin. But above all, she loved her family deeply and she will be remembered most by all who came to know her for her quick wit, infectious smile and sweet laugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Neana Butler; two granddaughters, Lacie (Seth) Murphy and Kaylie (Philip) LaTour; a great grandson, Jett Murphy; two sisters, Melanie Ward and Kimberly Agin; a special sister, Carolyn Grimm; two brothers, Bobby (Denise) Stemm and Thomas (Shirley) Stemm; three sister in laws, Joanne Stemm, Sonnie Karr and Delores Weidig; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful furry companion, Fancy.
In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Weidig, who died on June 21, 2018; a brother, Fred Stemm; her uncle, Robert Corbin; and step father, William Agin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. David Young as celebrant. Beverly will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Larry at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
