Big Day for a Lucky Dog

The flooding in the South has devastated the area, leaving Lucy homeless and in a shelter. But thanks to one Doberman-lover, Lucy is safe and ready to find her new family.

"Lucy’s story was heart-wrenching to me and I thought we have to help this girl," says Appalachian Ohio SPCA Director Robin McClelland.

But there was still the problem of transporting Lucy to Ohio. Chris Blair is from Painstsville, Kentucky and he delivers fruits and vegetables. In his spare time, he uses his own plane, time, and money to help dogs like Lucy.

"Most of these animals are born into unfortunate situations that are out of their control and I feel as though they deserve a chance and that’s why I do it," says Blair.
