ZANESVILLE, OH- Bikers from across the region gathered at Fink’s Harley-Davidson at noon today for the annual Bike Blessing, hosted by Rushing Wind Biker Church as part of BikerFest Weekend.

The event welcomed riders of all backgrounds to come together in fellowship, enjoy live music, receive free giveaways, and participate in a group prayer for safety during the riding season.

“It’s an event where we invite all of the bikers, local, out of town, and out of state, to come and fellowship, hang out together, hear some great music, listen to the word, and pick up some free items like T-Shirts, free lunch, it’s been a great weekend so far,” said Michael McGuire, Pastor at the Rushing Wind Biker Church.

The event focused on prayer for rider safety, music, and recognizing those who serve the community.

“What we love about BikerFest Weekend is that we invite what we call heroes, and in the biker community there’s quite a few heroes, there are riding clubs, there are motorcycle clubs, there are motorcycle ministry’s, and then outside of that there are the police officers, pastors, EMTs, firemen, and we select a couple of nights to be able to honor them for serving the community and the great things that they do,” said McGuire.

The Bike Blessing will return next year in conjunction with BikerFest Weekend. More information can be found on the Rushing Wind Biker Church Facebook page.
