Billy Gene Ramey III, 49, of Crooksville, passed away at his residence, after an extended illness on March 20, 2025. Born on May 3, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio, to Mary (Taughball) Ramey and the late Billy G. Ramey Jr., Billy’s life was a testament to the enduring strength and love that he carried throughout his 49 years. Billy’s early life in Columbus laid the foundation for a man who would be known for his stubborn, bull-headed personality was matched only by his incredibly kind heart, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him. Billy’s journey led him to Crooksville, where he would spend his final years surrounded by the love and laughter of his fiancée” Shelli. Throughout his life, Billy dedicated many years of hard work to the positions of a laborer and machinist for Miba in McConnelsville, until his health no longer permitted him to continue. Billy’s passions extended beyond just work. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and enjoyment in the tranquility of nature’s waters. His love for building and displaying epoxy model cars was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with his grandchildren, sharing with them the patience and precision that each model required. Family was the cornerstone of Billy’s life. His legacy lives on through his children: Billy G. Ramey IV and his wife Klarissa, Kyle Williams, and Destiny Adams. Billy’s grandchildren—Gracelynn, Katerina, Wyatt, Sabrina, Tylynn, Autumn, and Nadia. Billy’s passing leaves a void in the large family that he was a part of. He is survived by his devoted mother, Mary Ramey, and his siblings: Heath, James, Peter, Joel, Dan, Jonathan, Philip, Victor, Angelica, Jan, Josephine, Christina, Cherie, Sophia, and Cinderella. He also leaves behind his loving fiancée, Shelli Daft, who stood by him through life’s challenges and triumphs Each of them will carry forward the lessons and love that Billy shared with them.
