Blue Devils Well-Represented in North-South Classic

Five local athletes have been chosen to play in the 2016 Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North-South Classic, and two of the players will be lining up for a familiar coach.

Zanesville offensive tackle Tavian Butts and linebacker Leo Crosby are set to suit up for Blue Devil coach Chad Grandstaff in the Division I-III game. Grandstaff is the head coach of the South team, which also features Tri-Valley defensive lineman Hunter Polk.

The East Central Ohio League will be represented in the Division IV-VII game by Meadowbrook offensive guard Josh Sills. The West Virginia commit is joined on the South roster by Newark Catholic linebacker Wes Jurden.

Both games will be played on April 30 at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. The small school game kicks off at 11 a.m., and the big school game follows at 4 p.m.
