Blue Ribbon Entertainment Planned for the 178th Muskingum Co. Fair

Muskingum County- Soon the Muskingum County Fairgrounds will be alive with all the sites and sounds of the Blue Ribbon Event.

As the county celebrates 4H week this week, the fair board has announced this year’s line-up of entertainment. It features all the staples including harness racing, the demolition derby, rough truck contest and this year’s big concert, Cooper Alan with special guest Thomas Mac. The fair board said putting the events together is a long process.

“Anymore it’s a year round job. We started with Cooper back in October and all the contracting and everything. It’s today and we can finally get everything announced, said Muskingum Co. Fair Board Secretary Doug Guinsler. “We moved the concert to Thursday so it won’t conflict so much with high school football.”

“We have other free entertainment as well. We’re bringing back the firefighters show that was there last year. It’s free. It’s informative. It’s fun. We also have the Bengal Tiger show coming this year. It will be free entertainment. They’ll do shows daily and it will be located on the West End of the Fairgrounds,” said Muskingum County Fair board President Gail Deitrick.

The 178th Blue Ribbon Fair, presented by Lepi & Associates,  runs August 11-17th.
