Boat Raffle Successful
One lucky grandfather received quite the Father’s Day gift today.
The Y-City Midget Baseball League raffled of the boat today to raise money for a safety net at the fields.
Booster’s President Brooke Carpenter says every game the players get better, which means more foul balls. She says the net will protect spectators from an unpleasant knock on the head.
About 200 children play in the Y-City League.
