Bobcats win season opener over Southern

ATHENS, Ohio – Newark grad Jordan Dartis scored a team-high 15 points to lead the Ohio Bobcats past Southern, 77-67, in the season opener for the Green and White.

The Bobcats clung to a four point lead at the break and hit 11-of-12 free throws to clinch the victory.

Four Bobcats finished in double figures. Dartis knocked down three-of-six attempts from three-point land.

Ohio plays host to Sam Houston State Monday night.
