Bomb Squad Responds to Frazeysburg Home

The Columbus Bomb Squad was called to a home in Frazeysburg Tuesday afternoon.

Frazeysburg Police Chief Eli Bourne said crews were called to a garage fire and explosion at a home at 21 E. First Street just after 1 p.m. Upon arrival, crews discovered several items of concern, and the Columbus Bomb Squad was called to collect those items and assist in the investigation.

Chief Bourne would not say what those items were but did say that one person suffered minor injuries in the fire. Bourne said the scene is safe now and the case remains under investigation.

Frazeysburg and Dresden fire departments and the state fire marshall’s office also responded to the scene.
