Bomb Threat Investigated at Maysville H.S.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another bomb threat at Maysville High School. The school was placed on a soft lockdown as a result of the incident.   Sheriff Matt Lutz sent deputies to the 2nd floor restroom of the school where the threat is located.  The call came to deputies just before 8:30 Thursday morning.  Students from the middle and high schools were evacuated. The Sheriff’s Office is using two drug sniffing dogs to investigate the incident.  Superintendent Monte Bainter says since the school district has been dealing with multiple bomb threat situations it is likey the students will have to make up the missed school time at a future date.
