Bonita Belle Shaffer (August 23, 1940 – January 18, 2015)

Bonita Belle Shaffer 74 of Zanesville passed away on Sunday January 18, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born in Zanesville on August 23, 1940 to the late Ervin and Mildred Maxwell Schwartzmiller. She retired from West Muskingum School District where she drove bus and was a custodian. Bonita enjoyed Bingo, fishing, camping, her dogs, and her chickens.
She is survived by a daughter Betsy (Charles Fenton) Shaffer, two sons; Brady (Tamara) Severt and Buck (Tawnya) Severt, a daughter in law Janice Harper, three sisters; Marcia Spinazzola, Becky Dillon, and Connie Smith, a brother Ted Schwartzmiller, 10 grandchildren; Hailly Shaffer, Ashley (Tim) Davis, Paul Kessler, Jamie Kessler, Stephen Severt, Adam Harper, Mason Harper, Lane Harper, Austin Severt, and Evan Severt. Eight great grandchildren, three nieces, and five nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Ralph Shaffer, a brother Ervin “Pete” Schwartzmiller, a son Brian Harper, and a daughter Sharon Shaffer.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday January 22 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Steve Dupler officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
